Charles Calvert, 3rd Baron Baltimore.

Charles Calvert, was born August 27, 1637, and was the son of Cecilius Calvert and Anne Arundell, he grew up to succeed his father to become the 3rd Baron Baltimore, he became governor of Maryland in 1661, and took propreitory claim to Maryland land holdings in 1675 upon his fathers passing. All was not well however and revolution erupted in the colony in 1689 while Charles Calvert was away in England.
